Last Call for MAM 2013 in Cincinnati

Message from Stephen Yandell, Xavier University:

Hello MAM members!

I'm looking forward to seeing you in Cincinnati this September 27-29 at Xavier University for our 28th annual conference.  We'll enjoy medieval music at our Fri. night reception in the atrium of the Cincinnati Art Museum, as well as a banquet lunch Sat. afternoon in Xavier's conference center.  Our plenary speaker, Dr. Robert Fulk (author of A History of Old English Meter and editor of The Beowulf Manuscript: Complete Texts and The Fight at Finnsburg) will be presenting on "Digital Philology," and our conference papers will cover a wide range of early and late medieval texts, as well as recent medievalism.

Tomb of Nicholas of Cusa in
St. Peter in Chains (Rome, Italy).
I would love to have a few additional papers included in the schedule and very much welcome titles/abstracts being sent to me by Aug. 15.  A few folks have returned from summer travels wondering whether there is still a place for them in the conference—and there is.

Registration is $90.00 ($50.00 for graduate students and emeritus faculty); checks should be made to "Xavier University" and should be sent to me by early September at

CVG International is the closet airport to service Cincinnati (located just south of the Ohio River in Kentucky).

I'll be sending out a further request in upcoming weeks for individuals' meal requests and needs for airport shuttle service.

Thanks-- and feel free to direct any questions to me--
